OnStar Adapter
So I have finally got all my parts and have been getting install quotes. The only thing I did not buy myself online was the Onstar adapter (I have the non-bose system). I have read through the FAQs and C6 Answer post and have seen a couple good ones, such as the GMAH24

However one of the quote I have gotten for my install work quoted the OnStar wiring harness at $119, which seems almost too cheap. Do I need to have the GMAH24 module, is that the only one that will work?

There are others that work and I'd bet you were quoted for the Metra unit. Our strong preference around here is for the Peripheral modules. They are more expensive but you do get what you pay for. The Metra module requires you buy a relay separately and wire it in yourself, the GMAH24/GMAHCM combo just works out of the boxes.
