Head Unit Is Installed !!
Thanks guys for helping in a seamless install. I'm somewhat useful with my hands but I've got to admit it was quite frightening tearing apart my vert console to get to the head unit. Everything went great with the help of this forum. Stereo is fantastic. I love the touchscreen controls. I now have bluetooth, ipod controls, navigation ability, XM radio, DVD, usb, and much more. The stereo sounds great. I think it sounds better than the stock radio, even with stock speakers. This will definitely hold me for a while. Head Unit already has the preouts so when I'm ready to upgrade to a sub and some better qualtiy speaks it will be as simple as plugging in. Special thanks to MarkCZ, Kokoman and Pentavolvo. You guys are awesome.

Looks like you did an excellent job. I'm getting ready to start my own Kenwood install. Mine is in a C5 so I had to get a custom bezel. I hope my install goes as well. btw I picked up a 6140, is that your unit?

Thanks DeVette. No, mine is the '08 model DDX-512. I'm on a budget and was trying to save some money. It doesn't have quite as many features as some of the higher end units, but it packs a punch for $399. Later, I hope to add nav. and speaker upgrades, but I got to admit it sounds great with the stock speaks. Hope your install goes well. I'll be happy to answer any questions if I can.
