I bought the Kenwood DNX6140 and the KCA-XM100V. Are these compatible? Do I need any other equipment to receive XM radio on the HU? Kenwoods site is confusing me.
Here's the info from Kenwood

This box is designed for the XM MiniTuner (sold separately) to receive XM Satellite Radio on your compatible Kenwood audio/video receiver. SAT Ready (Requires CA-SR20V + Sirius SC-C1 Tuner or KCA-XM100V + XM Mini Tuner)
Crutchfield says XM needs this, which of course is out of stock and shows no results whatsoever on a google search.
Yes, I have the same setup and it works great. You need to add an XM mini tuner. This slips into the KCA-XM100V. You can find these for about 10 bucks on eBay or Amazon. The mini tuner is model number CNP2000 and it is made by Audiovox I believe.

If you search a certain auction site you can find a NEW Samsung Nexus 25 for 25 bucks. This is an older potable XM music player/recorder but it comes with the CNP2000 module you need. The module is called the XM Passport (the older name for the mini tuner). The reason I suggest this is not only will it provide the mini tuner to go in your vette but it provides a home player setup that you can connect to any audio system and get XM. Like a home docking kit.
I have 2 of the KCA-XM100V's in my 2 cars, One Nexus 25 for use in my office, an XM ready dock in my family room and an extra Nexus dock in my garage for when I'm working out there. In all I can dock my mini tuner in 5 different places but only pay for one radio.
