beacuse the faq is listed at the top of the page where clearly the information would be. if you frequent the audio section you will see myself and a handful of others answer questions regularly and personally im not going to take the time to pull that up when its at the top of the page when someone else is asking a more in depth question. you could have linked it if you felt compelled
You're very helpful as usual... Why don't you at least give the guy an answer or a link.. I assume that's why he came here (audio) for help..
Actually...... Greg is extremely helpful.
He answers tons of questions on this forum and went so far as to send me directions to help me with my install. He, in fact, gave the OP an answer... He told him right where to go to get the info he needed.
I notice you didn't take the time to post a link for the OP.... but yet you took the time to give Greg a ration of crap.......
I took the time to tell you I believe your criticism was out of line AND give the OP a couple links. I practice what I preach...
To OP, "Buddy A" .... here is a link to the FAQ section with a lot of good info... a must read

I understand Greg's frustration. He & I both answer the same questions over and it does get tiresome. I try to resist the urge to tell people to RTFM but sometimes I lose my patience and say that anyway!
In my sig below is the link to the FAQ. At the top of that FAQ are a couple of threads I've written titled with [C6 Answers] at the beginning. The first one should tell you everything you need to prep for your install.
I think it's perfectly fine, no matter the situation, to post a question after RTFM. I did all the reading of the FAQ's, etc., came up with what I thought were the items I needed, *then* posted a thread to get any input on what I had come up with. Fortunately I got a lot of good help from that point on.
I don't think anyone is asking too much to at least take a look at the information others have taken the time to compile and post before asking them to answer you with the information already available. I know it might seem daunting, but the information is there.

I agree completely. Asking questions to clarify something or something specific to your install that you don't see I have no problem with. It's this type of blanket question that shows no effort to have used the FAQ and search button in advance that gets under mine and Greg's skin. Always glad to help, we just both would prefer you help yourself first so our answers make sense!

i agree sometime i may come off as a ***** but it gets old answering the same basic questions over and over. i love when i say see the faq then people ask where it is, which means u dont even read the stickies. its funny alot of threads that ask very basic questions will get no responses at all because everyone here who frequents with help gets tired of explaining what dash kit and gm antenna adapter you need
