After reading the forum for months, I came up with some ideas and ordered a system. I was first going to have a shop do the install but when I showed him the prices I could get the goods for he ran me out of his shop and I was left to do the install myself (I wanted to from the start but my wife wanted someone else to do the install) she knows me.

Here are the pictures of the 6.5 MB Quart speakers and crossovers mounted in the doors.





Pictures of the hu wiring, I ended up sodering the wires and using heatshrink. Also pictured is the hu with the bracket I made to go in the old slot. I ended up unsing a sawzaw to remove the old brackets and I turned the one upsidedown to assist in holding the new hu.





The following two pictures show the wires being run back and the amp rack starting to take shape.

LASTLY this picture is of the old bose system that will be placed in the attic for the next lucky person that buys my vette.



The install took about 3 total days, I took my time and tried to do things right and I still have a wife.

It sounds great, I still have to do some fine tuning with the amps. I drove it to work yesterday and most of the folks could not believe I was only running a single 12" woofer. It helps that the woofer is a T112D2 - Rockford.

I just started my F90BT install this morning. 1 question, what did you use to make your brackets for the HU? How did you mount them?
