Default Laser Interceptor review/questions

Looking for info as to anyone that has bought and installed any version of the Laser Interceptor. In particular any issues you may have had with the unit.
Am looking at buying one and installing it. I have the user's manual (PDF) and have figured out how to route the wires on my '09 Z06. My concern is more with the supplier of the unit (retail seller), returns, upgrading the software, in use issues, etc... I have seen no reviews on the LI units.

Thanks....

Never heard of them, but I did check out their web site.

My only comment.... $700 will pay for quite a few speeding tickets, and AFAIK they don't even use laser in my area.

Go to radardetector.net forum and join up and do some reading. There are a ton of folks over there and I read on that forum for about a week or two before pulling the trigger on the LI quad head. Couldn't find a thing bad about it. The US guy has very good customer service, answers emails very quickly before and after the sale. I had an exchange via email this weekend with several questions and they were answered very quickly. I asked for some new voice files and he sent them without hesitation.

I've looked at the units electronics and they are pretty simple, RISC based chip I believe, professionally made boards and electronics. Did some bench testing this weekend on the setup and seems to work as advertised. Just need to get it installed and my project finished.

the Laser interceptor is by far the most effective active laser defense system currently available. If Leos in your area use laser, this is a leadfoot's best friend.

FHP using them like crazy lately. My Valentine One has been a trusted friend for 12 years. The laser detector on it is on the fritz....lots of false positives.....so I began to ignore it. Last week, bam! Got me. Today I passed 4, yes 4 different laser traps on I-4 between Orlando and Lakeland. Good thing I was paying attention but damn. Never had a real hit until the last two weeks, so I guess Florida is in laser mode now. I am looking to upgrade my V1 and get the integrated Laser Interceptor package. FCC can't regulate light!!! Anyone do this?
