Radio, gps, and On Star has no Sound.
I can watcjh CD player go through the tracks.
30 Amp audio amplifer had conductivity.
Any other fixes?
TIA San
If the radio is powering up, but there isn't any sound, I'd say your amp isn't getting power (fuse 31 under hood) or the trigger voltage isn't there. Trigger wire is B3 on the main radio plug, look at the plug pinouts to see which one it is on the amp (next to the i/p fuse box) and see if you have power there. If the amp has constant and trigger power, it's probably bad.
Funny but i'm having about the same problem, except I can reinstall my factory non navigation radio back in the car and I get sound, but the Navigation radio that I installed and had unlocked at the dealer is now not getting any sound, and can't get it to eject the disk, there is a company called United Radio which I talked to today that will repair it for $450.00 , the wife gave me the ok to purchase a new after market system but just not sure if I want to go that direction.
Sorry if I hi jacked your thread, but wanted to let you know that there is a place that will repair it.
IMO you are better off going aftermarket. I would suggest the Kenwood DNX6140 or 9140 if you want the TOL model. Built in Garmin is MUCH better than the factory NAV and the sound quality is better plus you get true iPod integration and Bluetooth. You can also install a rear backup camera and chose either XM or Sirius integration. You can typically find the 6140 for 700 or less on eBay. Just make sure you get a Square Deal warranty as Kenwood will not warranty any HU that is not purchased through an authorized dealer. If you go Authorized dealer expect to pay 1100-1300 hundred for the same unit.
I have a Kenwood DNX5120 in my Mustang and the 6140 in my vette and I just love them!
