Default which system is the best?

Hello everyone. I am lookng at getting back into a Z06. I am wondering which stereo system is the best sounding system available. This seems to be my biggest hang up between getting a 2lz vs. a 1lz. If there are any other major differences between the two(1lz-2lz), please, point them out to me.

The 1lz basic stereo(is this just a single cd player or is a 6 disc cd available?)

The 2lz Bose 6 disc cd player

The 2lz cd/navigation system

I am just looking for the BEST SOUNDING system. I don't really want to get into the debate of the nav sucks vs. others or anything like that. Just looking for what sounds the best when listening to cd s or sat. radio. Thanks in advance!

As far as SOUND goes, all of the stock radio choices are pretty much the same. The weak link in the stock setup is easily the speakers, with the amp coming in second. Also, AFAIK, the amp and speakers are identical in every setup.

You'll have it told to you in many different ways, so I'll get it started. If you're looking for a good sounding radio, get the cheapest setup you can from GM, then rip it out and put in an aftermarket radio/amp/speakers. I believe bluetooth is the only stock feature that can't currently be integrated, but most aftermarket radios have that as an option. If that just isn't an option, at least consider replacing the stock 3.5" speakers in the doors with something like the Boston Acoustic S35's. The highs just aren't there in any of the stock radio systems.

If you just must have it stock, get the Nav if the $$ doesn't bother you. The PAL seems to work (iPod controls on your radio) and the Nav directions are integrated on the HUD.

I would go cheapo like I did and then build something up from the ground up. You will be much more happy in the long run. Have you ever had the stock NAV in a c6? I have and it sucks ****. I love the garmin in the kenwood. The rest are all proprietary. I would go to the store and play with each if you go that route. I love the kenwood.

If you really want the best sounding system for your Corvette you need to go aftermarket head unit, amp and speakers. If I could only have the stock system I'd go with the Non Bose system. I have heard both and the Non Bose sounds just as good (or bad) as the Bose system in my opinion.
