Default Photoshop Novice Made New Kenwood Splash Screen

I have owned several versions of Photoshop and never have spent much time trying to learn how to use it. Tonight I was bored so I tried messing around with a new splash screen for my Kenwood DNX6140. Here is my first attempt. I borrowed others work to build on. It's not done yet I still need to clean it up but you get the general idea....

I just bought a book on how to use Photoshop and I think I'll crack it open and really start to figure it out. What a powerful tool in the right hands! I still suck at it but hopefully I'll get better at it.
