Me again, installing a back up camera in the C6 08 the camera will connect to the Kenwood DNX 9140 my question. Is there a place to tap the reverse wire near the console area.
Thanks in advance
David

Sure, but you need a schematic and will probably need to pull apart a wiring harness. Maybe someone can tell you which wire to look for but it seems like a lot of trouble to save having to run the wire.
Most people simply run the wire to the rear with the camera wire and tap the line going to the reverse lights in the rear. This is why the wire they supply is so long.
Yes it is still working on getting all the function working before I button it all up, still can not get video from the iPod Touch or my 80 iPod video. Inside now taking a break gonna head back out and work on it some more.

I had a heck of a time getting that to work as well. I assume you are the same guy posting over at Kenwoodforums? Did you try my suggestion there? That is how I got mine to work. It is not intuitive at all.
I'm not sure if it's the same on the touch, but on video and classic ipods you have to change a setting on the ipod in order to get video to display on an external screen. On the main menu go to photos, then settings, and video out. Turn it on.
For the reverse wire, check out the first thing in post #2 of this thread.
Thanks for all the help guys, I couldn't even began to say how helpful y'all are and this forum. Now if I could get that dang SWI-Jack programed correctly I would be on the last leg of this install. Phew.
Thanks
David
Mark thanks for the links, I believe I have it wired correctly, I can set the version # which is ver. #1 for my car and I have the unit set to program for Kenwood #3 on the instructions. The problem is just getting the dang thing working correctly, I will read your post and give it another stab after supper.
Thanks
David
Remeber that you have to 'skip' the unused features during the programming by pushing the button on the gizmo. Don't push any of the steering wheel buttons until you get to a feature that you want to program.
