Default Blue tooth Mic

I've reread through all the post on the Kenwood DNX installs, and yet to find out where people are installing the blue tooth mic. and push to talk button, I did see in a post somewhere the person installed his mic. at the lower kick panel near the gas pedal, not sure if this would get good reception. Your thoughts please.

I find the mic to be very directional. I put mine in the spot that sounded best to callers. At the base of the steering wheel. It is a direct line with my voice when I'm looking straight ahead. I don't have the button so I can't help you there.

I put it in the speedo cluster trim at the bottom. You can just pop off the molding around the guage cluster and run the wire there and clip it on the plastic and its out of the way.

I would like to locate it on the drivers pillar also but it doesn't seem to have a long enough reach, any routing help.
Thanks

I have mine right above the rearview mirror and have had no complaints about not being able hear me or echos.
