Replacing my HU and keeping bose
I am replacing my stock hu with an alpine iva w505..I am keeping all of the stock speakers, etc, just replacing the head with this unit. I have searched and read some things, but am still a tad confused. I do not have on star, but just want to retain the bose speakers/amps, Do I need an adapter?? Thanks in advace

The GMCO is the most reliable of the available adapters that do what you need.
I saw your 'discussion' thread. It doesn't take long for a simple question to get out of hand
Some good tips were buried in that mess. It's very easy to replace the door twiddlers with Polk db351's or Boston Acoustic S35's (or any 4ohm 3.5" speaker) in order to improve the highs. Disconnecting the center speaker also helps with the overall sound.
Whatever you end up doing, all that matters is that YOU are happy with your system.
