1996 Bose Hiss
I have a 1996 with the bose system I bought used. Ever since I got the car there is a constant HISS comming from all the speakers...even with the volume control all the way down. The hiss starts a sec or so after the radio is turned on. It occurs in all modes tape/cd/radio. Does anyone else have this problem??? Could this be a bad ground on the head unit??? I can't believe ALL my amps are going bad. Thanks for any info you guys can provide

If you are talking about a 1 sec. or so hiss right at startup, then I have the same thing happening. I don't hear it after first startup, so it never really concerned me.

Actually....mine doesen't hiss for the first sec or so....then it starts and remains forever. Pretty much as soon as the amps come up...1 sec or so after the switch is turned...the hiss starts. Sounds like a problem specific to my system from the lack of posts.
