Default Paging DPC5 - need install info.

I have a fewof questions about your install. I thought others might find this information useful as well.

1. How much power wire did you wind up using? I am trying to figure out how much I need.
2. Where did you ground your amps?
3. How much speaker wire did you use?

Thanks.

hey mrkln,

1. I'm using 4ga Power wire from an Optima Yellow Top to a Distribution block in the rear hatch. From the block to my sub amp 4 ga again, from the block to the front and rear amps 8ga wire. 4ga Red total about 20' - 8ga Red total about 10'.

2. I also used 4ga on the ground. I have it grounded to the chassis right in between the rear exhaust (PRT's). From the ground point, I went again to a distribution block (wich is under the sub box) and went 4ga to the sub and 8ga to the other amps. 4ga black- 6' and 8ga Black another 10'

3. I used 14ga speaker wire. Probably around 10' per door and 4' per rear pod. 12ga on the Sub - 4'.

All wires are Rockford Fosgate.

Thanks a lot for the info. Could you take a picture of where the ground is? That would be a tremendous help.

Thanks again.

Wow, thanks a lot. A picture is worth a thousand words. Do you worry about the ground being out in the elements?

Not at all, just remember to "score" the metal before using self-tapping screws to attach the ground.
