Car camera recording system
I'm looking for a car camera system that records continuously from one or more cameras and records GPS information that I can map against Google Maps or something like that.
The stuff I have found is in excess of 2k$

Ideally I would like it to be discreet and thinking off putting a camera in front at the grill level. But this has probably lots of drawbacks in terms of what the camera can view
The only cheap thing I have found is called the X-Driven DRS-1100 but it doesn't record continuously, only in the event of an accident.
Any suggestions?
My question is simply because I have had several close calls and my vette is my DD. I realize that in many circumstances if there had been an accident, it wouldn't have been clear cut when in fact, until know, it was always the other driver not paying.
The only time I had an accident with the vette, I got rear ended fair and square, so it was an open and shut case. Although the dude did try to squirm his way out of the situation.
I've been rear ended 3 times in the past 16 months (once in the vette thankfully).
So to say this but there are lot of morons on the road ... we need to be more stringent on the DL tests in NJ for sure.
Anyway thinking front and rear but I don't want the cameras to ruin the lines of the car ... ok I admit to being madly in love with the lines of the car, even though I drive her everyday. :o

I'm glad you brought up this topic. Since my Z is my DD, I need something to help me in case something worse happens in the future. I'm new to NYC (Staten Island) but it seems I can't trust anyone (even certain NYPD officers - basically took her side when it was clear cut that she hit me while I was stopped legally and tried to get out of writing a police report).
