I just had my D3 installed in my 07'. Now when a warning comes up on the DIC like low tire pressure. There is no chime. When I press any of the buttons on the cluster there is no beep or chime. Is this normal for an aftermarket radio in a vette?
It's normal if they didn't install all of the correct interface adapters
I'm guessing your installer used a GMAH24(B) and did not add the GMAHCM (the chime module). Check your invoice or call and ask what parts they used so we can be sure that's it.
I did some research and have seen everyone is using peripheral's GMCO for the chimes to work. Is this in addition to the harness adaptor used for the radio? If so, I don't have that. They used a metra wiring harness. Thanks for any help you guys can give!
The GMCO is all you need if you don't have OnStar, otherwise the GMAHCM is needed in addition to the GMAH24 (or 24B). But that's just for the Peripheral units, other companies are different.
What are the EXACT model numbers of all the parts they used? (should be something like GMOS-04)
