I recently purchased a 1978 Silver Anniversary and it does not have the stock radio. There is a cheap radio in there, and I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of CD units would fit in there? Thanks.
No CD unit will fit in the dash unless you are willing to cut the opening in the center cluster. Original radio was a shaft style and no CD unit I have ever seen is made like that.
Talk to RadioJoe. He can help you out with your options. You can put in a stealth deck that looks original and hooks up to a $200 CD changer mounted in the rear for example.
Was reading some archived post, and saw your comment to contact RadioJoe. I can't find that user name in the Forum, could you pass me a phone/email address?
I want to find an audio system for my C-3 that will fit in the stock opening (and looks reasonably stock).
