V1 Laser detector---Not working???

V1 Laser detector---Not working???
This past weekend I purchased on of those laser pointer for a friends cat. The cat loves that thing, he'll chase the red light all over the room, crazy. Anyway just for kicks I pointed it at the V1's laser recepter, both front and back and I got no response at all. Why would this be? I would think that this thing would make my V1 go nuts.

I would guess it is the wrong light spectrum. Under stand that some of the third brake lights on some SUVs will set it off. Check out your neighbors new 'Burb.

Yes, I've had all these things set mine off as well. I've even had mine go off from red neon signs and those new LED stop lights they are installing around here.
All these thing are just real intense red lights. I would think that if these things would set laser detectors off then a true laser should really do it.

A laser speed measuring gun transmits a series of short pulses from an infrared laser (not visible). A laser warning receiver responds only in the infrared and only when it detects reception of closely spaced (microseconds) pulses. Your laser pointer does not transmit infrared and it is not pulsed, but rather is on continuously.
