09 C6,,,,i have a shallow P3 in the cubby and alpine amp behind the passenger seat. I have the amp volume control just laying on the top of the amp. Been that way for 10 months but would like to get it somewhere cool. Looking at the cig. lighter and thinking maybe i could take it aprt and epoxy the volume control to it. So when you twisted the cig lighter it would adjust the volume. Anyone got a better place? Oh and BTW it really does thump and really good quality. I wired the amp thru the low level inputs that go into the OEM amp under the passengers feet. thxs for the input,,paul
Someone recently posted a pic of an adjustment **** that was mounted to the left of the ash tray opening, but that only works if you don't have the heated seats.
If you don't smoke, another option is to put a piece of flat plastic over the ash tray itself and mount it there.
I have my radar control unit mounted in the door cubby, you could easily put it there if the cord is long enough.
