From the first of the year through the end of Feb I will be out in Atlanta and its surrounding areas anyone within a few hours drive that needs an install or help with a stereo project vet or not let me know, always willing to lend a hand
I am up around Knoxville and will be installing a stereo in my 09 coupe as soon as all the stuff gets here if you you want to come by and help out. Heated garage also.. Here is what I am installing
my buddy is in knoxville and we will prly travel up that way atleast once. Most likely weekend of jan 23rd, im down to help u do the install or whatever you need
just makin sure u got all ur stuff lined up, do you have wiring yet
also what sub box are u running, or building your own. are the subs 4 or 2 ohm voice coils, just want to make sure they will match your amp
I still have not gotten the wiring for the amp but I think I have everything else. I have speaker wire, RCA's to run to the amp. thats about all I can think of right now. It has been a couple of years since I done my last stereo install. If I am forgetting anything let me know. I will be building my own box for the subs and amp rack.
Here are the specs on the subs
8" Single 4 Ohm Comp Series Subwoofer
Power Handling:
Peak: 200 watts
RMS: 100 watts
Impedance: Single 4 ohms
here is the specs on the amp
125 Watts x 2, at 4 ohms <= 1% THD+N
380 Watts x 1, at 4 ohms BRIDGE <= 1% THD+N
75 dBA Signal-to-Noise Ratio (Reference: 1 Watt Output)
I may add another amp, door and back speakers later so I was thinking of going ahead and running the RCA's for that so I dont have to pull the console again. Yes I did get good RCA's. For what I have in the amp I can use it for something else, what amp would you suggest to for those subs. Or can I run the the subs in parallel and bridge the amp
cant run em in parallel the amp cant handle it. honestly i would keep that amp to run front speakers and add this for subs gm-d7400m, prly a bit more power then needed but will work fine, prly like 100 or so would get u some component speakers
Ok I just ordered the GM-D7400M. been out of the stereo stuff for a while. So since that is a mono amp and I have 2 subs they will be run in parallel? I will look around and find some component speakers for the doors. I think the factory is 6.5" in the doors?
Thanks for the info.

Can you make custom A-pillar's that hold Tweeters in a 2009 C6?

As for a budget I can prob go some where around $150 for the door speakers I know that wont get top of the line but would think I could get a fairly decent set for that. Open to ideas on which ones I should go with.

If you end up in the Aiken/Augusta area shoot me a PM, I'll buy you a beer
dont even remotely have the time to do it, and while on the road wont have the tools
I have never done it before and have no idea of the time it would take other than I know you need to I know what you are doing to make it look perfect and sound as good as possible. Sorry if I was asking for to much. I was not implying that your time was free. I was willing to pay for your expertise.
I have just finished (for now) the complete replacement of my system and trying to find someone in north GA to do this kind of A-pillar work is not easy.

I ended up ordering the e3.65i's last night so now I think I have everything I need for the install except for another set of RCA's and the wiring for my amps. I will be building my boxes and amp rack next week.
