Hi All,
The audio drops out of my DNX8120 fairly frequently ('08 coupe, Bose, Onstar). Once gone, it stays gone for hours, although it can occasionally be recovered by disconnecting the battery. The DNX8120 is working fine, and the Bose works with the factory radio. I thought it was a defective OS2-Bose (Peripheral GMAH24B), but I'm having the same issue with a replacement module.
Has anyone seen similar issues, or have correction suggestions? Thanks.
you most likely need to jump the remote wire past the os2 module
when u loose the audio do u also loose the door chies
I don't recall if the chimes are affected, but Onstar isn't functional.
I read this to mean, jump the OS-2Bose factory interface cable (OS-GM24) directly to the DNX8120 interface cable (RAD-OS2). Blue (amp remote) to Blue/white (amp trigger). Correct?
esentially u take the amp remote wire from the headunit and instead of connecting it to the os-2 box you connect it on the otherside of the box where it runs into the gm harness. if need be i can draw a pic

there will be zero side effects, others have had to do this as well
basbically the radio sends the remote signal into the box and the box should pass it out to the harness. the reason it goes through the box is because the box also has to trigger the remote to do onstar and chimes when the radio isnt turned on
odds are the box isnt sending the remote signal out, so what you are going to do is jump around the box pushing the remote from the headunit straight to the harness and into the oem amp. I would splice it in, versus cutting it so that the box is still in the equation so it has the oppertunity to fire the amp for onstar and chimes

The audio dropped out again last night. I drove the car about 10 miles, and it was fine. An hour later no audio, but the chimes were functional. The audio was back this morning, even though it wasn't touched overnight. I wonder if there's a connector issue due to temperature fluctuations?
