C5 indash install - which kit will keep indash flush?
I has seen C5 indash installs that have the deck flush and ones that have the deck sticking out about 1/2". I would like to have mine flush but I am wondering what kit I need to be able to do this. I already know that I will probably have to heat the air duct behind the unit to bend it in order to get the needed installation depth.

I used a normal GM flushmount "turbokit" and I didnt have to modify my AC vent at all. I installed a Kenwood Z828 which went back pretty deep, but it just fit perfect. One more milimeter and I would have had to modify though.

Just installed mine today and it is sticking out. The plugs where the RCA jacks are and Datalink for the changer are on the Left rear, so I will have to play with the duct. (Can anyone help me on that one???)
Point, if at all possible, there is more room on the passenger side , you would do better to have your connections there.
PS: I used the Turbo kit also.
Anyone have a better kit, or more classy one, let me know!
