Default radio installation

Looking to add blue tooth to my car and after talking with a few installers it seems the best way to go is to get an aftermarket radio with navigation. I found a decent pioneer with nav and blue tooth for around 400 but was told installation would be about another 4 to 500 on top of that. Is installation really that bad? any ideas on how to do this cheaper.

Do the install yourself. But do a lot of research first!

I use to do all my own installations especially after Circuit city caught my factory radio on fire in my old truck. I am just being lazy and would rather if they screwed something up that they have to pay for it and not me.

The install should be no more than $200 (assuming you have all the parts like the wiring harness, etc).

This thread details which adapters you'd need, and this one shows 90% of the work involved. Just for all of the integration parts you're looking at $150-200, plus a days labor if you have a shop do it.
