Hey Folks, I just purchased a 2006 vette. It is Onstar equipped and has Nav. We all know the Bose system sucks so I have a Kenwood DDX 514 with bluetooth and ipod adaptors as well as JL C2 650 components that I have pulled from my 350Z that I will be selling. Will the JLs fit in the doors? Crutchfield says they are really 6.75 inches instead of 6.5 inches according to the manufacturer. Also, I plan on purchasing a Alpine PDX-4.100 amp and the JL C2 525 for the rear. Will this setup work well and please tell me what else I need to make this work well. Thanks!
ur components will fit the doors. IMO disconnect the rear speakers all together and put a 10" sub in the back. also do some sound deadening in the doors

Pretty much all types of components can fit our front doors.
We have a very thick door with plenty of space to clear most types of speakers.
All you have to do is make a speaker bracket to mount your speakers or purchase a set from our forum vendor.
I disconnected the center, rears and ran a set of components w/ 1 10" sub, and the result is pretty amazing.
Running the rears would give you more headaches when tuning.
