06 C6 Nav issues
Hello everyone -
I recently purchased a used Navigation unit out of a 05 C6 from a forum member for use in my 06.
I had this installed and then had the theftlock issue. No problem there, took it to the dealer who used the TechII scanner and all was good - except...
When i push the button to lower the door, it would not move. When i push the Nav button, it showed no disc in the slot even though the seller is positive it is in there, and i do think that it is, but the system is not recognizing it.
So i have been working with the seller to diagnose the issue. I disconnected the battery and then reconnected it, and guess what? When i pushed the button to lower the door, it came right down like it is supposed to. I then loaded a CD into that slot which it accepted. I tried to eject the cd, and it would not come out. I also tried to eject the Nav disc and that did not work either. So i was just about done, so i pushed the button to raise the door, and of course, it would not move. I then disconnected the battery once again, and when i pushed the door button it closed properly, but would not open after that. When i tried to play the CD that i just loaded, it is telling me load a CD in the player. The Nav is still saying that it does not have a disc in it either.
Am i going nuts? Have any of you ever seen or heard of these issues before? The seller has been great and offered to have me send it back so that he could try to diagnose it. I just dont know if all of the expense and hassle is worth it. I am half tempted to buy a new Pioneer and use this thing as an $800 boat anchor...
