Aftermarket Head Unit Install Using Adapter Questions.
I want to install an aftermarket stereo and for ease of installation I'm going to use the adapter that allows integration with Bose (although I will probably replace the speakers) I just need a harness that will allow me to easily wire the radio so it will plug into my car and I DON'T want to tear apart my interior!
Is this a decent way of doing this or am I way off track?
Also I know that the radio in my '92 is in some weird place.... do I have to track it down and remove it?
Finally I've heard that some people set off their check engine light with aftermarket installs. Will I have a problem with this?
Thanks a TON for all the help (past, present and future)!!!
Re: Aftermarket Head Unit Install Using Adapter Questions. (Bradley33)
Bradley, the radio in the 90-92 is located under the passenger side dash (behind fuse block). You do not have to remove it, but you will have to get to the wires and the antenna lead. You will need an antenna adapter. As far as the system light, see this post: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=260041
