HELP...won't start!
Hello all,
I have a problem and I'm hoping it is the battery but here goes.
Over the weekend tried to install my DNX 6160 with the GMOS -04 interface (with the relay) in my '06 bose/no onstar. Got everything in and was working fine, although I was getting some weird msgs in the DIC like service soon etc, but the sound and chimes were sounding good (hadn't started to tweek yet). I changed the mode to listen to the radio and changed back to the CD player and everything cut off. The DNX wouldn't come back on and I couldn't unlock the doors. I climbed out unhooked the battery, let it sit and tried it again. Nothing! the doors only opened with the FOB once, when I tried to start the car I got a FOB not detected in the DIC, put FOB in the glove box slot, and got a loud click sound after I released the brake pedal when I tried to start the car....changed the FOB battery and the DIC still reads not detected and only the click when I try to start the car.
Took the DNX out and put the factory HU back in and the same thing happens, no FOB detection and only the loud click from it seems the passenger side for the engine when I take my foot off of the brake after pressing the start button.
(I also found that the previous owner put an ipod adapter (PA-11) and had added an aftermarket amp. Found this when I took the bezel off)
It seem I lost the RAP somehow as when I went to take the battery out this morning the light under hte hood didn't even come on...please let it be the battery.
I'm asking you guys for any suggestions as I feel I need to get another battery, but want to know what could have happened as the DNX was working fine just after install then "all quiet on the eastern front" happened (I'm in VA -
