So I thought about getting a really good system installed in my 2005 Vert
It has the stock NAV and Bose setup with my 2005 XM wart on the back
Would like someone to recommend a system - I was thinking, since a Vert that the JL Stealthbox would work then a few amps and head unit, not sure I want to replace the Bose in the doors - don't want to spend like 10k just something really nice that is loud (exhaust on car is med loud) and base hits good. Also tell me if what you recommend what the difference would be from stock as far as sound quality.
I went with a Kenwood 6960, jl sub box, 6.5 Focal component (VR) door speakers, and Kenwood (4) channel amp. I did not use the rear speakers as they screw up the sound field. I ordered all my equipment from C5 bears. Dennis is great. Total cost for me installed was around $3400 dollars. My coupe sounds great.

Thanks - thinking about it now - For me to switch from what I have - Stock NAV - I would really need one killer head unit and would have to be guaranteed that when the work was done I would be blown away to justify the cost.
I doubt a JL box would get over the exhaust very well. It's just a small sealed enclosure
I'm about to buy a c6 vert myself, and planning to pull the bose out. I've already got PG Zeropoints for the doors, and an Atomic 5kw for the sub. 5000 watts to one 12" should get things rockn'

I have a JL box in my supercharged 2008 coupe with AR hedders and sport exhaust. Car rumbles and is loud as hell. No problem for the JL box to drown out any noise. Even had a cop with his sirens right beside me and I didnt here a thing until I made eye contact. LOL.

ah, but a coupe has more compressable airspace. A vert has none when the top is down.
Sorry if it seems like I am hijacking the thread but is it ok if I ask how to find out if you have a bose system or not?
I looked on my window sticker when I bought the car from '08 and it doesnt say it has anything with bose on it where is says radio. I am assuming if it doesnt say it then it isnt a bose system. But dont all C6's come with the bose system?
The reason why is because I just ordered the Kenwood 6160 NAV unit for my car and I ordered an install kit from crutchfield.com the door chime module, DD din filler kit and any other wiring harness etc.

Drop the Bose. If you leave them you can be sure they will not blend well. They are quite top end heavy. Get you some nice HAT Legatias in there and you will never want to leave your ride (I'm sure you dont't already)!!
