RAAMmat vs Stinger Roadkill
After looking at both products, I'd still be inclined to go with Raamat. Even if all else is equal, Raamaudio is a supporting vendor, is active in our audio community, and has great customer service.
Rick has been great to work with as I have navigated the audio upgrade in my C6. Everything from amps, to speakers to sound deadening - I've purchased it all from Rick. He knows his products and his customer service is second to none.

Stiffening the panels is critical, just as much as the mass loading, that is why I recommend center of resonate areas, 50-60% coverage and offer a price point/value product designed for that use.
I could of had smaller, thicker, whatever tiles before most all my competitors were in business, well before, if I thought that was the way to go.

I do agree completely, mat products are not heat barriers, sure they do help a bit in the right areas, correctly installed, etc...but in general not that effective.
And they are reflective acoustically on the aluminum side.
Ensolite was developed by NASA for the space program as a thermal and acoustical barrier, I have been using it and found nothing else even close, for many many years, again well before most of my competitors were in business, some maybe even old enough to be in business

I just never tried to sell a ton of different things, snake oil, marginally effective high profit items, etc.....keep it simple and real, that is the only way I chose to do things.
I am glad you guys are telling the truth about some companies we encounter, one in particular sad company, I just do not get how they can do what they do, I personally know of some pretty terribly things they have done to some very good companies

Rick
Aluminum channels stuck to the door skin to stiffen them so less mat is needed.
BXT II RAAMmat strategically placed to get the deadening needed but use the least as possible.
Ensolite foam, a patch behind the speakers to break up the back wave and all over the rest of door per the HOW TO guide on RAAMaudio.com

Results, greatly reduced road noise, greatly enhanced sound quality, solid door feel when shutting them, minimal weight gain(we have to live with some on these cars to make it right but worth it

I also sell neo magnet midbasses with great output but low weight

These are super cars and my idea of an audio upgrade requires controlling weight as much as possible yet still have a killer audio system.
PM, call, etc if interested
