Ok, it's time to upgrade my speakers in my 2003 C5 Z06.
My current set-up is the following:
Kenwood DNX8120 - (Double Din Nav / iPod / etc)
Infinity BassLink - (Powered Subwoofer)
OEM Bose speakers w/ PAC adapter
I just bought a used JL Stealthbox and I would like buy:
Some good component speakers and mount the tweeters on the A-pillars
Amp(s)
Speaker mounting plates
Blockit sound deadening from TKO(has anyone used this in their C5?)
What do you guys recommend? I also have a friend that can get me stuff from Best Buy at almost half off!(His brother works there and gets stuff for cost+5%)
I'm selling a very high-end set of Boston Acoustics SPZ-60 speakers, still brand new in the box. Some of the best mid-bass speakers you will find anywhere. Retail is $1199. Asking $550 shipped. Details from BA: http://mobile.bostonacoustics.com/ca...product_id=400

Thanks anyway dgoldenz,
I'm looking for separate components, where I can mount the tweeters up high.
Focal makes some great speakers, just beware that there are TONS of knockoffs around with bad serial numbers. Google Focal fakes etc and you will get lots of info. If it sounds too good to be true, it is probably a fake.
You can check Crutchfield I think to get an idea on what overpriced retail on real Focal sets is.
Zalytron dot com is an authorized dealer and often has good prices for raw drivers (more of a home audio store, but they have some pretty decent car audio packages)
And Rick listed some nice stuff, and Rick at RAAM has some solid components as well.
I have heard things about Focals. Who has the best pricing on them?
Not sure as I got my set through my buddy who is a dealer at his cost. They are a little pricey but sound amazing. The only thing is you can't short them on power. They thrive on gobs of power. The more power the better they sound.
