Default Finding an amp

I am buying a Jl stealthbox with the w3 in it. Dont know much about audio but is a rockford fosgate p300-2 a good amp to power it or is there a better one in that price range to just power that sub

There are far better subs to run than the JL, like anything from Image Dynamics.

Amps, I can supply tiny high powered ones that are better than D class.

Subs, I have two in stock I prefer to use above all others and one will fit the JL box with a bit of modification, I have to many of them as well so the deal is even sweeter

And deadening, my specialty for nearly 12 years now.

Let me know if I can help

Sincerely
Rick

I also have a JL Stealthbox with the W3. I use a JL 300/2v2 to power mine. Sounds great and trouble free for over 2 years.

Once more members start hearing the ID subs and another one I have shipped to swap out JL's, the more will want to switch, I promise

No matter what subs you do run though, I highly recommend AB, G or H class amps over D class, as long as good amps of course

Fosgate isi pretty low end stuff. Might want to look into brands like Zapco, Atomic, MMats, Sundown, Audioque, Digital Designs, Helix, Brax, I could go on and on.

It's just a sub, in that frequency range the human ear has an exceptionally hard time picking up distortion. I think somewhere around 10% is when it becomes obvious under 120hz or so?

I'd go for a good quality amp that doesn't get too hot and will last a long time. So, not Fosgate. But it doesn't have to be an Audison Thesis, either.

I always default to Arc Audio myself.

I'm thinking of running a 10" sub in my C3 and I've been hearing alot of Image Dynamics, so I'll take your word on that. However what compact 5channel AMP would you suggest? So far I've heard all the talk of the PDX-5, there is alot of talk of the HD900/5, few things about the XD series from JL, I see Kenwood has the Xr5s, and I seen US Amps AX5600 (not quite a small amp, but a 5 channel) I'm looking to stuff it either behind the seat or some where else where it won't be in plain sight.

Any advice is helpful Thanks!

Please give me a call about the amps, easier that way

One thing though, I have tried many many D class amps, high power, lower powered, moderate cost, high cost, I always have gone back to AB for subs as just more musical.

That said, I use a different class than either of those, gives up very little of what those have to offer, small, great sound, great power, love them

Please wait a bit though, I have to call the freight company right now to arrange a rather large shipment

It'll have to be later if thats ok? I'm currently at work, and I got a few things planned for the next 3 hours until I get out.

What time would still be appropiate so I don't call later than that.
