Issues with DNX9960 install. Need help.
The car is a 2010 w/o Bose and has OnStar. I'm using a PAC Audio OS-2, CM1, and SWI-JACK.
The first issue is a lot of hiss, almost sounding like an amp turned up on high. Another forum member is having the same issue here. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...0-install.html. I noticed that in this thread, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/audi...r-harness.html, it appears that both the base amp takes a line level input. If this is true, would wiring RCA connectors to the PAC harness and using the line outs resolve this issue? Is there any other advice?
The second issue is that the unit cut out without audio while driving home a few days ago. Since then, I haven't had audio and the hiss is gone. This leads me to believe that the amp remote signal is not being passed. I found this one the Pac-Audio site under the OS-2 documents even though it says OS-2 Bose. http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductD...rvette_fix.pdf
Has anyone had to do this work around? Why would the unit stop passing the signal and why would this be the recommended work around?
