I've read most of the stickies around the 6.5" conversions in the C6. My question is this..... can I run four regular speakers (Polk, whatever) off my Pioneer F900BT headunit and be ok? Do I have to add an amp?
Looking for the simplest decent sounding system possible. I already have the headunit running through the Bose crap speakers and amp. Sound is blah but honestly I'm not precise sound type of listener. I popped a Bose speaker so thats the motivation of my question.

Good Evening M.... I just purchased a Rockford Fosgate amp that I will hook up to a 4 ohm 12" sub in the rear and I also purchased a
Kenwood KAC-PS200T amp to run the 5 1/4" rear speakers in my Vert.
I had an old pair of JBL speakers so I removed the tweeter off of them and added it to the rear (not yet amplified) with a crossover and it sounds pretty good with the bose speaker. I can't wait to try out the amps. They just came today!!!!
what about the front speakers, please tell me u arent leaving them stock???
I just replaced the front 3.5" with a pair of Infinity 3.5" and kept the Bose 8" and crossovers. Not too satisfied yet! I expected better highs.
I'm going to add a new post to see if anyone else has had better success. I was given this idea by a member of the boards that said the sound would be much better...

I didn't think aftermarket 4 Ohm speakers were compatible with the Bose components that are 1 or 2 Ohms. A 4 Ohm speaker on a 1 Ohm output is not going to put out much sound. Are you running an aftermarket amp to the 3.5"?

??? in both the c5 and c6 the door woofer and twiddler are powered seperately and the twiddler is 4ohm
