I tried to improve the stock sound system. I installed a Pioneer amp and 10" Pioneer sub. The problem was that my stock Bose system hit harder than the new addition. I used RCA jacks to wire in the speakers. It just never hit hard.. Is there something I missed? Is there something I need to do because of the Bose system.. I know I'll get replys saying get rid of the factory junk. I have the same set up in my 2001 GMC Dually and it hits hard (not Bose in truck).. I want to keep the stock head.

The rear speakers are not controlled by the Bose amplification system. But there IS an impedance issue. I am assuming that you disconnected the rear speakers and used those leads to input into an rca for the input on the pioneer amp. Is this correct?? I'm in the process of upgrading at the moment also. Half done!
the advice u were giving isnt correct... the c5 faq which is a sticky at the top of the page since its where the frequently asked questions are covers all of this
Must be me , but I can't find where it says to tap into the harness to make the right connections. I got so pi$$ed screwing around with this I took everything out and returned it all! When I cool down I might want to reinstall a system but would like to know for sure its going to work before I tackle it again...
