I'm installing the GM Personal Audio Link in a 2007 Coupe. I already installed a NAV unit and everything is working fine there. Did all the installation for the GM PAL unit, but I can't find where to connect a wire in the instructions.
On Sheet 4 of 21, Figures 13 & 14 describe "Continue routing wire to driver side terminal splice pack." I can't figure out where this terminal splice pack is. It shows it behind the Hood opener above the left foot rest, but I see nothing like a splice pack there. Anyone else have this issue, or know where the wire is suppose to go?
I am assuming this wire controls turning off the XM when an IPOD is connected because if I connect my IPOD, I hear both. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Either send that unit in to Ray Kawal to get it updated to the latest software along with purchasing his XM harness, or return the unit and purchase Ray's entire kit.
I purchased my unit from Ray. I paid a bit more but only took about 10 minutes to install. Really. I believe the unit from Ray has updated software that includes a few new features and a cord that makes the install a snap.
