Good day everyone. So after not using my car for a month or so and having it on a battery tender I went to start it today and everything started fine. When the AVIC came on I noticed the screen was still black. Everything seems to work on the unit including the touchscreen but nothing is displayed. Any ideas how to fix it, etc?
I had one in my GTO when it first came out. Haven't heard that one happening before? I would maybe try reseting the unit? You know, that little spot you have to use a tooth pick to reset it? Try that?
I tried that last night. Didn't make a difference. I have read that this is a known issue but I am.wondering if documentation is out there on how to fix it?
Is it completely black? , seems there is a hide button on it, touch the lower right part of the screen in a few places, Hey I know a long shot but wont hurt to try, if not then hey my shoe taste not to bad
It is competely black. I know the Hide button you are referring to but this is not the case. There is something actually malfunctioning from what I can tell.

Mine did it after installing it in my C5. In desperation I downloaded a copy of the newer disc which didn't work but when I put the original disc back in it started working and has fine.
I am using a set of JL Audio components mounted in a fabricated mount on the stock section of the door panel. They sound great but I should have moved the tweter higher up and built a custom enclosure.
