C5 rear ground location
2000 Hatchback. Looking for ground for amp in the rear of the car.
Are the bolts for the targa top hold down suitable for a ground? It's the assembly that holds down the targa top when you have it off and stowed in the hatch area. There are two on each side of the car and it is a three bolt assembly. Also holds down the carpet. They appear to double as a hold down for the body to the frame and are almost dead center above the wheels when looking across horizontally.

depending on where your putting your amp....this is what i did. My amp is installed on the back part of the hatch vertically on the part that you can pull out when you move the carpet around. If you remove the drivers side taillight closest to the license plate you can see that you got almost a foot of room to work with and if you look in the hole towards the rear wheel you can see a peice of metal that welds to the frame...perfect spot for a ground and the wire is nice and short.....the shorter the better.
