why are you against the stealth box? I guess if not stealth to the flush mount box. what radio do you have, have you traced wires to other end to see if they are even hooked up

well i dont have th clips for my factory lid, so i was going to ditch that, unless i can find some? it still has the factory radio, i havent traced the rcs's, but i did find the fuse link (with the fuse out) hooked to the battery. i guess i need to find THE DEAL on a box? double D has stealth boxes, but no flush mounts. can you run the cover on with the sub?

i have a couple places i have been lookin for the clips/locks but havent heard back from anyone yet

Are you looking to get someone to build you something custom as far as the enclosure? If so, i'd go over to caraudio.com and get someone over there whom builds alot of boxes to make you something special. It will also be ALOT cheaper than what a local shop will do for you.

You can find plans for a DIY sub box made out of 3/4" MDF HERE

I just switched from a 10" Polk db1040 to a 12" shallow Pioneer. The shallow 12" sounds better to me than the 10" polk did, but I am pushing about 50% more power to it, and the box is square compared to the old fubar monster I made for the 10", so not sure if it's a fair comparison.

The Stealth box from Double D mods is awesome and I have one 10" that kicks me in the kidneys when the bass is turned up. I just installed it and three amps (two fosgates and a kenwood). You'll want to get the Fosgate RFK4x or RFK8x depending on the amp..I used 2 of the 4's and 1 of the 8. I have a p500-2 for the sub and a p400-2 for the front speakers. Anyway, definitely invest in that fosgate product...it comes with ALL the wires. Since you are only adding a sub, RUN NEW WIRES. The removal of the console and armrest takes 15 minutes and the radio removal takes about 2 minutes. This way you wont have any noise coming back through the radio. Again...I'm running 3 powerful amps and not one of them whine even a little.
Do it right the first time.
If I'm correct..your amp is a mono version at around 150 watts @ 4 ohm and approx 300 watts @ 2 ohm. It only goes down to 45 hertz with bass enhance on instead of 20 hertz. Oh well - you'll miss a little of the booming lows but it will still sound good.
If you need help..PM me and I'll walk you through the entire process.
I have a 99 vert so the install can be a little different on the coupe but not much. My stereo will knock the **** out of you.
Let me know if you need my help.
Regards
