C5 Amp and sub Question
Hey all, Just had a shop put all the wiring required to hook up a sub and amp. I have the factory Headunit and the guy said he hooked up that rca adapter thing( not sure what its called but it lets you use rca cables) too the rear drivers side speaker, is this ok? I was reading somewhere that on the corvettes the rear speakers have different frequencies? I'm just wondering this because the sub seems to pick up alot of extra bass during a song and isn't as crisp. Its a Memphis c3 10" and in my trans am it sounded unbeleivable, now in the vette its not so hot. Whats the problem here??

well for starters there is basically no bass at the rear speakers which is why it sounds like ***. the headunit has a clean line level output. could you use an mtx re-q i guess so but there is zero reason to do this they will prly chage u a ton for it and still tap at rear speakers and it still wont be right
The harenss is made by PAC audio and its an aoem-vet1 if they have never heard of PAC audio they have no business touching anyones car. Dennis at doubledmods (c5bearsfan) can prly get you the harness if they cant

Thanks for the help, I'll call again tommrow and tell them. I hope they don't plan on having me pay extra to install that, It's not my fault they dont know to not tap into the rear speakers. I usually always do the installs myself but i've never done a stock radio and I just moved to AZ so I have absolutely zero tools to do anything. Thanks again for the help!

well it is literally plug n play and minimal tools are needed to remove stock radio

hmmmm, maybe I will try to tackle it myself, How hard would it be to run the rca's to the back and what's the best route to take? What tools will I exactly need? Thanks again
