Default c5 pac-roem headaches

followed the easy directions posted previously. i doubted the blue white versus the blue/white indicated in the paperwork, but all one has to do is look at the harness plug and see the blue white pin isn't connected to anything.

anyway, i have what is supposed to be the amp control signal from my HU (a cheap tview dvd/monitor) but the in door subs are NOT activating. the pac adjustment screws have no noticeable effect on anything. i tried using the ant wire after that, and then tried just twisting both and then to the amp lead, and still nothing. fiddled with bass settings on the hu and just cannot get anything. help?

BLUE WHITE on radio to BLUE on roem-vet1 should do it
it shows this as the first step in the write up i did

blue is normally the power antenna wire unless yours is a different color

what model of radio?

do you have the harness plugged into the car harness? sometimes i have heard people have not done this and thats the problem

it's a tview d51tsb. pretty much generic dvd/in dash. the schematics say solid blue is the amp con, and blue/white is ant on. fwiw, i tried both individually, then in desperation, wrapped all 3 together. is there a "reset" that has to be done like i know some people mentioned with the metra? the only thing i did different from your thread directions was run the switched power after the harness plug. everything is connected i can see, besides the roem rca's and the additional trigger. the only factory connector not used is the small 3 or 4 pin which has no mate on the roem.

Check BOSE fuse #28 in the passenger footwell.

Also, in order for the door subs to power up they need +12v applied at the DARK GREEN wire at pin 8 of the oem radio plug. Just FYI.

i guess for some reason my pos head unit doesn't put out 12v on the amp on or ant on connection, or maybe it's not constant? who knows. while fiddling around with it today, as my first unit had issues (head unit) on a lark i decided to hit the 12v constant on the exposed lighter socket since the center console was already apart. ta da, subs fire. i just twisted the roem amp on signal into the acc on red cable. seems to do the trick. hopefully my car won't burst into flames, shouldn't right?
