C5 radio bad reception
Not sure if my 02 vert Bose radio gets bad reception due to the fact that I am stationed in Leesville, LA or is it just that the radio is old and not very good.....looking to replace...thoughts???

Windshield antennas don't do well. One of my other cars has a windshield/ sharkfin antenna and it sux. The antenna on my li'l truck gets much better reception without failure, unless I'm out in bfe. I'd try a retractable antenna plugged straight into the stock h/u to see what difference it makes before considering a new h/u... unless you just want a new h/u.
