Want backup camera with stock nav unit

I am not interested in compressed ipod music or anything, but a way to use the stock nav screen for a backup camera.
What is a good camera and who makes the interface?

Has anyone ever tried the backup camera with the monitor on the mirror? (On Star type mirror with compass?)

I may have just missed it, but i don't think that can be done with the stock nav unit.

I don't think so either and even if it could the resolution would be horrible.

It can be done with the lockpic 360 but it requires major modification to the unit. A new ribbon cable is installed inside on board. This WILL void your warranty on radio.

Has anyone out there ever tried the The GENK-356B with the rear view mirror? Does it cover the compass or ONSTAR?

I'd like to have a backup camera in my nav, but the lockpick installation (and voided warranty) scares me away. Some of the mirror setups sound like they should work, but we need a bold person to try one of them.
