I have a kenwood 9960 i installed along with 2 arc audio mini amps and a jbl ms8 and i am not getting anything to the ms8 or the amps. i took the deck back out and the remote wire is attached all the hot wires are connected and they are grounded on the passenger side seatbelt bolt that has other ground wires connected to it so i am not understanding why i am not getting anything out of all 3 things! any ideas? oh and yes all the fuses are fine
i did that as well and by bypassing the ms8 i should have only had to move the remote wire from it to the amp which i did and the amp still did not come on
well then u got a bad remote connection or a bad ground at ur amps
how do i get a good remote connection or a better ground? i have the remote hooked up to the deck and then to the ms8 in then to the ms8 out and the ground is going to a bolt on the passenger side of the car where there are other grounds connected to it by the seatbelt
Do you have a volt meter? Did you check for voltage at the amps? Make sure you're getting 12v from the remote wire behind the deck and at the amps.
If you don't have a volt meter, run a wire straight from your constant 12v source to the amp power in and jumper it to the remote in. If it works that way, you need to find out why the remote wire from the deck isn't powering up from the switch.
Have you removed the paint off of the passenger seat bolt to ensure good ground contact?
