OEM navigation question regarding steering wheel audio controls
I was told that in order for a OEM Navi to work in an 07 vehicle with steering wheel controls it must have a certain code ending. I think its four digits. Anybody know the code? Can someone elaborate on this. Why wont a navi from a 05,06 vette with Bose and HUD work with an 07 or even 08 vehicle.

Just FYI, any oem radio that you install will need to be programmed to your car at a dealership before it will work.
I think the earlier model units would work, but they probably aren't capable of using the steering wheel controls. If you want to use your wheel buttons, you need to find a newer nav unit.
