Looks good. What does the PAC do for you when replacing H/U and speakers...just the chimes?
The interface adapters provide R.A.P. controlled switched power, onstar integration, and warning chimes/beeps. Most of them work well, but some can be very touchy.
Since I replace everything, I just use it for the chimes. I don't think it will operate the onstar because there is no speaker attached to it. I use all rca outputs from the radio and the speakers are wired directly from the amplifier.
I have the same set up, the PAC works OnStar, I am using one speaker output and running it directly to the center speaker so it will just be for onstar. I am assuming the the voice commands for my Nav will work thru the amp the speakers anyone know if that is correct?
I have a chime module for all the warning chimes.
Here is the link to some photos,http://s398.photobucket.com/albums/p...view=slideshow project is finished for now. I would like to thank everyone here for all the help and to especially
c5bearsfan, Dennis at http://www.doubledmods.com/ for all his help. Dennis provided all the equipment I installed and helped alot with all my questions, he was available thru email, the forum and on the phone could not have done it with out him.
The sound of this system is "GREAT" I was driving yesterday and the though that came to mine was it was like being in a virtual video game driving the car with head phones on, the highs, mid range and bass were so clear and sharp I was total amazed. I love those 20mm Silk Dome Tweeters in the doors, wow. One unexpected thing I love is that you can see the new speakers thru the stock spreaker grills and when they get to thumping it looks great.
Again Thanks to Dennis and everyone here in this section, lots of help and I appreciate it.
My club the NCCO is adding a audio contast to our annual car show and I hope I do well, can't see how I would not but there will be tons of competition.
