gm sidepost battery terminal adapter... a few bucks at autoparts store. what size is power wire and what model amp, alot of times with a smaller amp you can just go to the terminal off of fuse box
I went a little high dollar on the battery post adapter and went with Rockford Fosgate. I also tossed on a fcircut breaker instead of a fuse that I would have to replace. I overdid the wiring in my case, but I wanted to ensure if I wanted to go bigger later, I would already have the infrastructure inplace. I also used the battery post as my attachment point when I did my Big 3, which you may as well do while you are wiring everything else up.
I original had it hooked to the fuse box terminal, but my subs weren't being powered. I've triple checked all my wires and the amp is getting power but subs wont power up. I also tried going through my HU to change sub settings etc still no subs. Is my amp bad or did I miss something?

Verify that you have +12v on the trigger wire at your amp. If you don't have a meter try connecting a jumper wire between constant + and trigger terminal, that will keep it on all the time.
Where did you get your low freq signal from? If you tapped the speakers, in a C5 the low freq signal isn't present there, so your subs won't be doing much if you have the LPF set properly.
