C5 headunit and speaker upgrade??
I'm looking to upgrade the stock system in my 03 z06 with just a new head unit and change out the speakers. I don't want to add an amp or get too fancy. I'm trying to figure out which interfaces I need? Is it just a matter of using a PAC ROEM-VET1 harness and replacing the speakers or is there a way to totally bypass the bose system and power the speakers throught the headunit? Thanks

If you don't want to add an amp or sub, IMHO the best thing to do is keep the door subs and just replace the 3.5" twiddlers in the doors when you do the radio. Any 4ohm 3.5" 2-way speaker will sound much better than oem. Polk db351 and Boston Acoustics S35 are popular choices for under $50. You could also replace the 5.25" in the rear whle you're at it.
