Seen quite a few good posts on Door panel removal etc..
But wondering if there are any detailed threads or Books on the complete disassembly for the coupe?
Seems like everything is simple pull and snap, not seeing very many screw locations, but before I start pulling and breaking everything was wondering what might be out here?
Mainly looking at side rails , front/rear pillars and cargo hatch side walls.
Pretty much the only thing that's a bit tricky is hte hatch struts. There's a retaining clip at the top.
Go slow and be very careful. The plastics in the corvette are extremely brittle. Try to pull lightly to feel where various panel clips are then pull STRAIGHT OUT. If something feels totally stuck, there's probably a pin or a screw!
Make sure you have a panel pulling kit, it helps a ton. Harbor freight sells a plastic kit for about $8
The pillars just pop off. You pull straight back then up in one motion. Be VERY careful, the tips (thin parts atwindshield) are amazingly easy to break. Ask me how I know.
The side rails, if they are what im thinking of - they just pop out too. All panel clips.
Same with the hard carpet in the back of hte coupe. There's two hooks for the cargo shad,e htey unscrew, then hte carpet panels pop off.
