Im upgrading my stereo. Front components, rear coxial. One 5 channel amp keeping the h/u bose getting the wiring harness. Sub enclosure probably 12 inch. Questions

1. The amp is 75 by 4 and 200 by one. approx. 5 channel . What gauge wire do I need off battery and what inline fuse.

2. Were do you install the crossovers for the fronts

3. How do you install the tweeter behind the door handle.

4. how do you get all the trim and lower kick plate off by the doors and rear speaker.

5. I want to take the car apart as minimum as possible. Center consule, both doors, trim on both sides. Do you have to take the passenger knee plate off? Im hoping to keep the seats intact.

6. Ground the amp to a bolt on the seat or seat belt correct?

7. I see how you fish thru door where does it come out in the car (door speaker wires) and how much more do you have to take apart to get it. No right up and the platic strim and dead pedal that I could find.

Thanks for all the help so far guys!

1 - 6 gauge kit should be plenty, 8 would prob be ok also, make sure fuse is at least as big as all on amp added together

2 - most put them inside the door skins, but some are concerned with water, many mount them under dash or near amp

3 - drill a hole, glue it in place

4 - click here for various install instructions, door sill piece pulls right up, start at rear edge, pull up to about 45* then straight back towards rear of car. for rear speakers pull out plastic pins and panels pop loose, C6 DIY is here C5 is very similar

5 - seats can stay, for what you described carpet will stay

6 - seat mount is good, there's a factory ground near seat belt roller that's even better, if you have a C5 have you considered mounting amp on rear vertical wall and grounding on rear bumper

7 - pull down flat plastic piece directly above your feet (both sides are about the same, it's the piece the light is mounted on), look up and at outside wall to see a 3"x5" flat plastic cover, that cover pops out and you're looking at the accordian going into the door

IIRC, the rear bumper has a bolt on it that an oem ground is attached to. I think it's about even with the inner passenger brake housing. If I'm getting C5 confused with C6 again, then you can drill a hole and use a machine screw, or just use seat bolt.

The plastic cover for the accordian access just pops out, nothing special.
