Default Post Pics of C6 Aftermarket Head Unit

Hello

I am looking for some good pics of after market head unit install pics on c6's. I just recently installed a Pioneer 930 and wanted to compair my pics to the rest. I am seeing flush on the passenger side and sticking out on the driver side. Just wanted to see if this was normal or if I installed something wrong.

Thanks

I don't have a picture of mine, but it is similar to your description. Not quite flush.

I have the x920BT, it sits flush, and so did the D3. You prob need to adjust the HU in the adapter plate side pieces.

I believe there's plenty of room for the HU itself to be flush with the trim. I'd guess that the cords and/or interface adapter are what may be keeping it from being pushed in far enough.

I recently installed a Pioneer 930 in my C6 as well. I have the face of the radio mounted tight against the Metra face plate. The leaves about a 1/4 inch on each side sticking out, and maybe a 1/16 to 1/8 on the top bottom as the face plate has some curve to it. The drivers side may be sticking out a tad bit more as I think the drivers side of the radio actually sticks out a little more if you look closely. I didn't even think about pulling the trim piece out until flush and then screwing it to the deck. That being said, I couldn't have done much of this as I would only want to pull it in a tad so the middle is flush. If I made the two ends flush, the center would be inset. Hope this helps.
